Cee Dub Camp Chef Story
“I’m just an average guy that ended up liking to cook and had a bunch of cool jobs,” uttered Cee Dub as he reminisced on how he came to be a pioneer in modern day cast iron cooking. And cook he did—Cee Dub’s first taste of the timeless cookware dates back to the 1950’s. A couple loyal pups, a few trusty steeds, and decades of wisdom later—Cee Dub shares his wealth of knowledge in this Camp Chef Story.

  1. What a very well put together video! Loved it!
What a life to live…I’d live in Cee Dub’s boots in a heartbeat!
    Gotta love that cast!

  2. This sounds AMAZING… WOW YOU ARE SO VERY BLESSED. SOUNDS AWESOME. May GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE !!!!!!

  3. After decades of cooking myself and eating well I have tried all kinds of cookware. All I have left is my cast iron and I never stopped using it. It’s just vastly better and lasts several lifetimes while improving with age. The only drawback I can see is the weight. Once you get the hang of cleaning and seasoning it properly that becomes second nature.
Camp chef makes some excellent outdoor cooking stoves and grills for everyday use that also stand the test of time. Great combination. I’ll try their pellet grill with the seat burner next.

    • Hi Steve,
We’re happy to be able to share this short snippet of Cee Dub’s adventurous life with our Camp Chef family. Stay tuned for more!

  4. What a wonderful rich and adventurous life he has led. Thank you for sharing his story and such beautiful scenery.
We used our new Camp Chef stove on our camping trip two weeks ago – far better performance than the old _______. Also used our Dutch oven for the first time right over the coals and made the best ever homemade chicken and dumplings.

    • Hi Kathy,
He’s an inspiration to us all. Happy to hear your Camp Chef stove and dutch ovens were put to good use this year. Did you make sure to wash your cast iron with “a little sand from down on the creek bank?” 🙂

  5. I have followed Cee Dub for a long time. I have all his cook books and have tried several recipes over the years. Cast iron cooking is the only way to cook when we camp and rv with friends!

  6. I love cast iron cookware. I have the Lewis Clark series. I now have my husband or son help lift them because I can’t anymore. I plan on using them when I go hunting again. .
