Low Pressure Valve

Low Pressure Valve is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valve did the trick! The Camp Chef is a great car camping, dual burner stove. Makes cooking and cleaning a breeze and pretty darn fun if you prefer to eat well. However, the second burner just wouldn't fire to full capacity, making it a second burner that really kept food warm. Not so great...however, With a bit of help from support staff, we zeroed into the valve replacement. Sure enough, it did the trick and was easy to replace and it fires away as I'd expect. It's May in Colorado and high country camping is just around the corner. The Camp Chef will be with us when we car camp. Cheers!

My griddle gets very hot on medium. Flames are large. I suspect too high of gas(propane) pressure, what is the ideal pressure, and will the low pressure valve help?

All of the 30,000 BTU camp chef burners are already low pressure valves.

Have EX60B cannot shut off gas at control completely. Have to shut off at Tank. Will new low pressure valve solve problem?

Asked by: Mack
Thank you for your question. If the gas will not shut off completely at the valve, then it does sound like you will need to replace those. They are part 0997 and they are $10.99 each. Here is a link to those on our site, https://www.campchef.com/replacement-parts/valves/low-pressure-valve.html.

What psi is this valve? Will it work with a 30,000 btu regulator? I have one valve that leaks and eventually catches fire at the nob! Dont want to buy another one that does this!

Asked by: Mike 6273
The valve is stamped as 0.5 PSI (low pressure valve). It will work with a low pressure regulator. BTU is a burner rating, not a regulator rating. Most of the camp chef burners are 30,000 BTUs (each burner).
