Camp chef is built to last
Finally decided to retire my old explorer after 30+ years of being outside, only had to replace one burner in that time. The new one works just as well and actually has updated valves with knobs and a one piece manifold. I'm sure it will last just as long as the new one.

This is such a nice grill, so easy to set up and pack away. I am going to add wheels to one side to make it easier to move around. I am also getting an 8 ft. gas line so I don't have to move the gas tank from the front of the camper.

How many burners does the Explorer stove have?

The Explorer 14 line has a two burner and three burner option.

Is the Explorer part of the 14-inch system or 16-inch system?

The Explorer line (2-burner and 3-burner) is part of our 14-inch cooking system line-up meaning all 14-inch set-top accessories will work on this stove.

Which set-top accessories will work on the Explorer?

BBQ Box 14, Pizza Oven 14, Griddle 14.

Can I use indoors?

No. All of our products have been safety tested and approved to outdoor use only.

Can I connect to an RV Propane Supply?

Yes. Camp Chef sells an RV Connection Hose (RVHOSE), which hooks directly up to most Camp Chef cooking systems, ovens, etc. Simply hook the RV Connection Hose to your RV then connect your Camp Chef cooker.

Can I convert my stove to Natural Gas?

Yes, we sell a Natural Gas Connection Kit (NGKIT), which hooks directly up to most Camp Chef cooking systems, ovens, etc. Simply hook the Natural Gas Connection Kit to your Camp Chef cooker. Keep in mind that only low-pressure cooking systems/fire pits can be converted to natural gas. Once the unit has been converted to natural gas, it cannot be used for propane unless the valves are replaced. The Natural Gas Connection Kit will be required to attach to a natural gas source. This method should only be used if the pressure source has a 7-inch water column rating or has a pressure of 0.25 psi. Requirements for natural gas connections: -Cooking Systems: #45 drill bit = 0.082-inches
