Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefect for the lazy chef! Positives - Ease of assembly - Ease of cleaning - Automated temperature control - Capacity - Time from startup to cooking Negatives - Instructions leave much to be desired Received my Camp Chef SmokePro LUX on 28Jun. The efficient design of the product and packaging made out easy to have it unboxed and fully assembled in under an hour! First time use was to make a wood-fired pizza (Papa Murphy's take & bake). I set the temp to 400°, inserted my pizza stone, preheated, and popped the pizza in. I can honestly say, pizza will take me some practice, as at that low temp, it took about 20-30 minutes to cook fully ...even with bumping the temp up toward the end. Next time I'll set the temp higher, and try not to open/check on it as often. The pizza was crispy around the edges, with a firm...ish crust. The taste was amazing. Higher temps next time will help with crisping up the crust. My wife, who was less than enthused, has done a complete 180! She called me while or grocery shopping, asking if she should add some tuna steaks to the cart (this, in addition to spareribs, and ground beef). Can't wait to smoke the tuna steaks for dinner tonight. The 4th of July holiday will see spareribs, and a tri-tip, with a 14# brisket (my first) to come later in the month, to feed visiting family! Cannot wait! Let the adventures continue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds Temps Great, Smokes Perfectly Great Smoker/Grill. Love to smoke 8 Butts at a time on this thing. Holds them perfectly and quick and easy to clean. The Pellet Dump makes changing Pellets a cinch. The Ash Clean Out makes it nice to drop before a new smoke so you don't have to vacuum as often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't make a $1,200 mistake. I bought this about 3 months ago and I have to say that it takes some getting used to ,being a wood and charcoal guy.Not a lot of smoke flavor, but there are ways around that. This a problem with all pellet grills. It has a pretty nice build quality and should last for years with proper care as all grills will.I wish it had a split grate on it though as it is a pain to clean. All of these pellet grill brands are way over priced for what you are getting. You can buy a very nice stove for your kitchen for about the same price.I am glad I bought this grill as it has nice quality and at a very competitive price.Any more $ and I would be kicking myself.Nice job Camp Chef!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smoker, Great Company I've had my smoker for a little over a year now and thoroughly enjoy using it. We've smoked everything from brisket (turned out very well) to potatoes. My extended family is always asking what we're going to smoke next? Camp Chef's customer support is among the best I've dealt with. I had a problem with the controller earlier this year and had to contact support for assistance. After double checking and verifying my problem they immediately provided a replacement. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best investment ever I've had my smoker for over 2 months. Everything I've smoked is some of the best food ever. Should have bought my Camp Chef way before now. Nothing cooked in the stove anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grill on the market. Once you cook with pellets you will never go back. received this smoker for xmas and have cooked on it every weekend since. If you live in the cold I would suggest you purchase the blanket as we had a couple of sub zero days and the blanket helps to keep the heat in. I have been making jerky and dinner every weekend. The jerky is amazing as I used it for venison, beef and chicken jerky. I have cook to perfection a couple of back straps by using the meat probe. Hamburgers and hot dogs take on a great new flavor and the meat is always juicy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoke Pro I have 2 other pellet smokers and I have to say I Love this smoker. I have had nothing but good to say about it. From a little bigger grill surface than my Elite, the hopper dump, and the burn pot dump it is great. Definitely my go to smoker. The jerky rack is a perfect fit and I was able to fit 8 lbs of meat on the jerky rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy slow cookin This pellet grill is an AMAZING one! With the huge cooking area, it has been easy to smoke multiple types of meats, like chicken, pork, and beef...all at the same time. I just checked the meat temps to ensure it was cooked all the way. I have had mine for about 10 weeks. I do a lot of food prep on the weekends, so that I have meals for the week, so this works out perfectly. That means less time in the kitchen which is a win for everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier I have had my Camp Chef Pellet Grill LUX for a few months and I couldn't be happier. Before I decided on my purchase, I did a lot of research on other brands and found that the Camp Chef had the most features, for the best price. Win-Win! The pellet hopper, has a pull out, which makes it easy when you want to switch flavor of pellets, instead of running the pellets all the way of the hopper and auger chamber. The other feature that Camp Chef has, that I haven't seen on any other pellet grills, is the ash cup clean out. It's nice not having to get out the shop vac every time you are done cooking just to clean out the fire pot. This pellet grill cooks great and has plenty of room! It will fit at least 6-8 full pork butts (depending on size). I put 7 in there for a work party, and it cooked like a dream. Filled the hopper and it did the rest. I am very happy with my purchase and I would buy this pellet grill again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Smoker This has been a great product so far. I have smoked a brisket, ribs, chicken, pork roasts and tri-tip, all came out amazingly good. The only two issues are temp and cleaning out. The temp occasionally will go down as much as 100 degrees before the smoker catches it and adds enough pellets. Also, the cleaning lever will not open after several smoking sessions. It does not matter as the ash goes everywhere but the cup so you will have to vacuum it out after several smoking sessions. Minor issues in my mind considering how good the meat comes out on the other end. I highly recommend this smoker. It was well made and very durable. The grills are easy to clean. Like I said, well worth what I paid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice smoker but junk wheels and wheel locks Nice smoker but the wheels are extremely cheap and the wheels will not lock in place so it gets pushed around by the wind. One issue is the when smoking the ash goes everywhere inside the unit so keep a vacuum ready when you are cleaning up the smoker. You can't easily get the gate open to dump what little ash is left in the burn chamber. Designers need to look at a fix for these issues. You would think with a retail price over 1400 bucks with the sear box, cover and heat blanket for cold winter days; the wheels would be better quality or larger and the ash would stay in the burn area. It just a matter of time before the front small wheels give way to the weight of the unit from moving in and out of the garage. On a positive note, the garage makes you hungry every time you pull your car in with the residual smokey smell of the food you made prior.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great oven, terrible smoker. I just smoked a Tri-tip and it was meh. Solid meh. There is more smoke flavor in marshmallow cooked over a campfire. I have a hillbilly smoker made out of an old refrigerator that uses a single burner coleman stove and chips set in a cast iron pan that produces 100% better meat than this thing. I think the 5 star reviews are city people that have never had real food before or something. Waste of money! It does look pretty on the patio though. I guess that's worth something.
