100% all-natural premium food-grade pellets
Be aware, not all pellets are created equal, the difference is in the details. Camp Chef pellets are manufactured using a high pressure process and are 100% natural hardwoods. Our pellets are kiln dried to minimize moisture and maximize hardwood content. The result is high density, low moisture, hot burning pellets that last a long time, cook great, and create consistent temperatures. Don’t believe us? Lift up a few bags in your local store and compare the bottom of the bag of the pellets you see. You’ll notice that many have sawdust built up in the bottom. Most pellet grills use a fan to provide consistent oxygen to the heating chamber, and that fan blows loose sawdust straight into the heat chamber and hot ambers are created that can land as ash onto food. Put simply, the more sawdust, the bigger the chance that ash makes its way onto food. Camp Chef’s pellets are made to minimize ash and maximize grilling efficiency.
Camp Chef hardwood pellets are made from 100% hardwood and you can taste the difference. Take our Competition Blend, we looked at many different hardwood options and spent countless hours testing varying combinations of hardwood pellets and ratios to find just the right blend of flavors. Competition Blend gives you the perfect smoky BBQ flavor that you can trust to cook across the board from Chicken to Veggies. With multiple woods available, Camp Chef SmokePro Premium Hardwood Pellets offer several flavor profiles for high grade beef, chicken, pork and fish. Also great with vegetables or baked goods.
Smoked taste without breaking the bank
Some of our competitors sell cheap second grade pellets made from leftover sawdust at places like cabinet shops that they like to call native hardwood, but if it’s coming from a cabinet shop, who knows what’s in the pellets. It’s worth asking yourself the question – is there lacquer in those pellets? Glue?
No oils, chemicals, or flavors added
Unlike many pellets available, Camp Chef pellets are not a byproduct but rather 100% pure virgin hardwood. No oils typical of many pellet providers in the market are added for perceived taste benefits and no chemicals or binders are added either. Moisture plays a big part in how hot pellets burn and the amount of ash produced. Too much ash means ash on your food and that’s no good. In fact, Camp Chef has a patent-pending ash cleanout system that’s a big ash deal.
Low moisture content for quick ignition
The reason for the kiln dried process Camp Chef uses is a hotter burning pellet, and a hotter burning pellet means it takes fewer pellets to maintain your desired temperature, giving you more pellets for your next barbecue, fewer trips to the store, and less ash to clean out. Camp Chef’s pure virgin hardwood pellets will give you consistent results bag after bag.
Low density pellets common in the marketplace today also have high moisture content and that leads to inconsistent heating. The more moisture, the more pellets and money to burn to maintain temperatures. With pellet grills you want quality pellets or you’re missing out on consistent temperatures, and best tasting food. If you’re a grill master or aspire to cook awesome food, don’t sell yourself short on second rate pellets.
Save time and hassle without harming your taste buds
Spend more time grilling and hanging out with family and friends and less time in the car picking up fuel. Did we mention the food tastes way better? Grill out with friends, impress during the big game, and you don’t even have to sacrifice taste for convenience. Wood-fired grilling is just as easy as propane grilling these days with the Camp Chef SmokePro lineup. Smoking is a great way to go and Camp Chef has the pellet grills and pellets to get you there, as well as awesome propane grilling options. The secret is in the quality pellets, convection oven style pellet grills that circulate smoke and heat evenly to produce consistent, repeatable and predictable high quality BBQ every time. Wood pellets are a tremendous value as they cook great, create amazing taste and last an long time, plus pellet bags are easy to move around and weigh about as much as a dining room chair. Low and slow is now easy, affordable, and better tasting than ever with Camp Chef’s set and forget pellet grill technology. Also, camp chef combines the best of both worlds (wood and propane) with the SmokePro BBQ sear box.
