The one thing I did was to make a cover for the open front, Now I can control the heat better. Now the top is done at the same time as the crust. It also works great on my gas grill at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy!! This Pizza oven is well worth it. I've had it for less then a week and have used it twice. Once in the back yard and once while camping. Great family activity to make there own pizza together. Recommended pizza spatula and carrying case are great too! It would be helpful to buy a wood pizza paddle to slide the pizzas into the oven. I almost forgot we also made rosemary bread also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pizza Oven I have owned this product for many years. I have also been making my own pizzas from scratch for over 40 years. With the first pizza I baked in this oven I was overjoyed. The pizza bakes in minutes and gives the nice occasional char on the rim that you get with a wood fired ceramic oven. I have found that a slight improvement on my oven is made by placing another pizza stone on top of the hearth. This cuts down a bit on the temperature of the hearth and seems to make for a more correct combination of direct heat, ambient heat and radiant heat from above. But even without this addition this little and relatively inexpensive oven is a marvel. I have recommended this oven to many friends over the years. I also love my Camp Chef stove especially for cooking fish. Keeps the lingering fish smell out of the house. A great company with great products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from burnt pizza I've made pizza once per week for about six months with this oven and have yet to find a temp that cooks the top of the pie without burning the bottom. There's a definite hot spot across the center of the stone. So, even if the pizza looks perfectly cooked everywhere else, there will be a burnt stripe across the center bottom of the pie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise your camp with PIZZA! I decided we needed one for an upcoming trip so I ordered the Artisan Pizza Oven 90 Accessory because I already had a traveling stove. First thing I always do when learning a new style of cooking, is go to the Camp Chef YouTube video collection. What I learned was I needed to get the temp up to 550 and keep it there. To get the oven to the right temp, I set the burner at medium and then watch the dial. Maybe I'll turn it up a bit. Maybe I won't. First use was on a Father's Day picnic with extended family. They were all planning the usual picnic. I didn't tell them I was bringing PIZZA!! We were lakeside at Sparks Lake in Central Oregon and it took a few minutes in the high altitude to get the oven up to temp. Once that dial hovered around 500, I slipped the first of three made-from-scratch pizzas in the oven. It doesn't take long. About seven minutes. There are a few accessories that make the job easier. I recommend a wood pizza peel in addition to the spatula. And it helps to have some extra flour and corn meal on hand. Next trip was to Willamette Falls at Oregon City. We had just finished shooting a TV episode - fly-fishing for shad - at the falls and I set up the oven and started to cook. It was a hot day and the pizza oven temp came up quick. My favorite pie to make right now has pesto, prosciutto, peppers, pineapple and sundried tomatoes. One of the little tricks is elevating the pizza with the pizza spatula. The temp is highest at the apex of the oven. Hold the pizza in that super-heated zone to cure the top of the pie. A good pizza is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I recommend you practice in the backyard before taking it to the backcountry, but making a perfect artisan pizza is more art than science.
