Purchased a DLX Pellet Grill in August of 2016. My first pellet smoker. Through the first 3 cooks the grill worked great. During the 4th cook, the grill temperature control began varying wildly +- 120 degrees from the set temp. Called Camp Chef support, all they asked for was a copy of my receipt be emailed to them. Within 15 minutes of sending them a copy of my receipt I had email confirmation of the order to replace the controller. No questions, no hassle. When the new controller arrived I installed in (took about 5 min) and fired up the grill. The new controller maintains temp within 13 degrees of the setting consistently. They even sent a bag of their pellets for my trouble which was above and beyond from my perspective.
I've been around long enough to know that everything breaks. To me the difference between a good company and a great company is how they respond. Camp Chef definitely gets a 5 star rating from me. The grill is extremely well made, produces great food, is easy to clean and maintain. Add to that the exceptional customer support I received and they have earned a customer for life. Highly recommend this product and would definitely buy again.
