Last weekend we had the pleasure of visiting Wild Winds Ranch in Grass Valley, Oregon. Wild Winds hosted a youth outdoor weekend and I was recruited to do the grilling for 60 guests for lunch and dinner. I knew it was going to be the perfect time to try my new Camp Chef Skookie cast iron skillet; the kids and adults could not wait to see what Chef Kurt was going to do with it. Before we left home for Grass Valley I had created a batch of Chef Kurt's Super Secret Skookie Dough so all I had to do was just scoop it into the Skookie skillet and wait a few minutes and as soon as they had been cut into bit size pieces to share the kids and adults wanted to know when the next batch would be ready. We made 8 pans of Skookie's Saturday night and more after lunch on Sunday. If you want to add a memorable dish to your already great outdoor food experience try a Skookie at your next opportunity.
