The new Camp Chef Camp Oven stove is a much needed product, it creates many new opportunities for outdoor and tailgating cooking.
Being a Outdoor Chef, I know the importance of a good oven for any cooking situation.
This new oven not only looks good it also works very well. I can make a pot of sausage gravy on the stove top, while my biscuits brown in the oven below.
Pizza at the camp site is really rare and this stove can make one super crispy and delicious. Your camp mates will be amazed as a whole new world of appetizers and treats are available at your site!
A chef secret to making the best bacon ever is cooking it inside the oven. Most people use a messy griddle or pan and still have a bunch of bacon "piles".
Kurts perfect bacon in the Camp Oven:
Preheat oven to 400
Put parchment paper on your cooking sheet with a side lip
Put bacon flat on top of the sheet.
Sprinkle a little bit of brown sugar on the bacon
Cook 15 - 20 minutes to desired crispiness!
Each strip is flat and perfect for that Restaurant look.
Hint: Use hot pad and pull out of oven slowly to make sure you don't spill out the bacon grease.
