C. W. Butch Welch, aka Cee Dub, a native Idahoan, served twenty-one years as a conservation officer for the Idaho Department of Fish & Game at various duty stations around the state. Among the honors and awards earned during his career, the Shikar Safari Club International recognized Welch as Idaho's Wildlife Officer of the Year in 1994, for meritorious service in the field of wildlife conservation and law enforcement. Whether around a campfire or the kitchen table, Cee Dub's stories always take you to the back country! Since trading in his duty belt for an apron, Cee Dub keeps busy writing Dutch oven Cookbooks, teaching camp cooking clinics, and making personal appearances. Cee Dub has also recorded at least 51 half hour shows that have been shown on PBS and RFDTV. Cee Dub and his wife Penny, currently live in the Hill Country of Texas and operate their warehouse for shipping in Meridian, Idaho.
