    • Why does my thermometer have a HH error?
    • The wire may be bent or have a kink in it. Straighten it out by running it through your fingers. If the wire is damaged or has melted it must be replaced.

    • I have the Camp Chef #LTRM Wireless Thermometer with an HH error. I need a replacement probe. Where do I get one or two?
    • An "HH" error on the wireless thermometer means there is some problem with the probe or wire. Typically we have seen this if the wire gets a kink in it. This problem occurred on my smoker when I ran the wire through the door and just closed it on it (always run it through the side vent and this keeps it from kinking). The first thing you should do is run the wire through your fingers & make sure it is straight. This should solve the problem. If this does not work, then the probe will need to be replaced. It may also be possible that if the probe wire gets extremely wet it could cause the "HH" error. It should resolve it once it dries. It may also be caused if the wire itself is exposed to very high temperatures (directly over a flame or touching the heating element in an oven) in which case the wire melts and the probe must be replaced. If a new probe needs to be ordered, please call customer service at 1-800-650-2433, with part number LTRMP, and they will be happy to help.

    • My thermometer reads a really high number, what would cause this?
    • When a wireless thermometer begins to malfunction it could be due to the probe's wire being exposed to too much heat or it has a kink in it. You can try to reset the unit and/or straighten the wire. This normally fixes this problem , if not you would need a new probe.
