I was pleased to be asked to come to Roseburg, Oregon to do some sampling for a new Camp Chef dealer called Waldronâs Sporting Goods. I started out with slider burgers in the Camp Chef BB90L grill box and fries samples on Saturday, and pulled out all the stops on Sunday, starting out with biscuits and gravy, then beanie wienies, then fruit filled turnovers, and to finish , a smoked turkey in the Camp Chef smoke vault (Model âSMV24S).
Recently Outdoor Chef Kurt was asked by the local 4H to cook an early morning pancake feed for the competitors of a 5 event sportsmans pentathlon, fundraiser put on at a local private ranch. I was up at 4;30 am , to make the pancake mix and had to have food ready at 6;30 am ,which was just starting to get light . My pro90 3 burner stovewith a 3 burner griddle was hot and ready for some multi grain griddle cakes, and mysingle burner 30,000 btu cooker with my 16 inch Lumberjack skillet was filled with simmering link sausages.
Outdoor Chef Kurt loves to be out on the ocean, fishing for Halibut. I especially like to slather my bait with Smelly Jelly Halibut Feast fish attractant. It works like magic and we were lucky one day last July day to get into a patch of BUTTS ! and ended up landing a nice one, #75 of good eating.
This was sent in to us by: The Outdoor Chef Kurt, Thanks! For the second year in a row I have been on a tuna team for the Garibaldi derby . I am first mate on a great 27 foot fishing boat called MR. LUCKY. We headed out of the harbour mouth in the grey dawn to meet the 83 other contestants out in the ocean for a Shotgun start when the Coast Guard sent up a flare.
