When we asked the employees what they would like for Valentineâs Day dinner, the most requested thing was BBQ ribs, a potato of some kind, bread and another side. The vote was that the Product Engineers choice was the best dinner here at Camp Chef, so we thought we would cook it up and share it with you all. This was all made in our cast iron cookware and it cooked to perfection!
Iâve never been a huge fan of baked beans until I tried this recipe. These are the BEST baked beans ever! I got this recipe from a family friend a few years back and it is now a requested favorite at every event. This recipe makes a TON, so I always freeze half for a later date if itâs just my small family of four. There are a lot of different options you can add to this, like diced bell peppers would be really yummy. Hope you enjoy!
I have been fascinated with artisan breads for many years. Living in a smaller town, we didnât get a bakery dedicated to these beautiful breads until about 8 years ago, but I drooled over them as I watched people eat them on television. Then when our local bakery opened, it was purported to being worked 24 hours a day because that is what is required for true artisan breads. I figured I would never be able to produce such delicacies.
A few nights before Christmas I was talking to my mother-in-law, lamenting about the fact that both of my children hate potatoes. I feel like this is very un-American and I am slightly worried about the repercussions, considering that Idaho is really close to our home. I am also a little sad that a recipe we used to have at least once a week was now sacrificed to the Idontwanna God of lost recipes.
People who camp with me always remark on one thing; we eat very well. Camping is my time to really go all out for feeding the masses. From grilling wild game over an open fire, to baking in a Dutch oven, I really enjoy preparing meals that really only can be cooked in the outdoors.
