Travels of a Camp Chef – We Thought it Would Be…is in Las Vegas

By on January 18, 2011

We thought it would be fun to try something new this year on the Blog. Travels of a Camp Chef seemed like a fun enough idea and something that some of you might actually be interested in. So here we go on a year of adventure! The first installment is in Las Vegas, NV. We are in town for the SHOT show but thought it would be fun to give back to the community before the business begins. The 3rd annual Hunt Fish Feed put on by the Sportsman’s Channel was hosted at the Shade Tree shelter in North Las Vegas. Over 100 lbs of venison was donated by the Mule Deer Foundation and cooked up the the master wild game chef himself, Scott Leysath. When it was all said and done there were nearly 300 full and grateful people. Even more important there were a couple dozen humbled and satisfied volunteers. Included in the Camp Chef team was Scott Leysath, Kent Millecam, Steve McGrath, Guy Perkins and NW pro staffer Chef Kurt. What an experience! Now it’s time to work.
