I have always wanted a fire pit in my back yard, but somehow my ambition to dig a hole has always been missing!
The problem has been solved!
This is a portable outdoor fire pit. Now not only can I have a fire in my back yard I can have one when I camp, and I can use it to cook.
I have used this fire pit a ton, and as long as I have propane I can have a fire. This weekend we used cooking irons to make mini pizzas. First thing to know when using cooking irons…. There are two types. They come in both aluminum and cast iron. So I tried both.
Making pizza in the cooking iron is really simple. In one side of the iron I put pizza dough (the kind from a pop tube), pizza sauce, Canadian bacon, and cheese and in the other side we just put more dough. That’s it! All you have to do it shut the iron and cook!
They work great and are fun to make. The aluminum iron cooks faster than the cast iron and is light weight, but I love the flavor cast iron seasoning gives to food.
THE LARGE IRON IS CAST IRON AND THE SMALL OPEN IRON IS ALUMINUM
The pizza tasted great. Another one of our favorite things is to sit out side and roast marshmallows and hot dogs. Yet again the fireplace comes in handy.
We used the extendable roasting sticks that come with the fire pit.
We have had a lot of fun, best of all there will be no more wood chopping or kindling searching in my camp fire future!
