Happy Cinco De Mayo from Camp Chef

By on May 5, 2012

Here at Camp Chef we wanted to get in on the Cinco De Mayo celebration. Here’s a quick and easy way to feed lots of people for a Cinco De Mayo party.

We started off by browning 10 lbs of hamburger meat in two of our 14 inch dutch oven’s (SDO14 & CC14), 5 lbs in each dutch oven. We seasoned one with garlic powder, cayenne, salsa and added black beans. The other we used taco seasoning & garlic powder. Both were equally delicious.

Once the meat was finished we let the staff dig in. With the two differnt types of meat, there were a few different options the staff could choose from. Some made burritos, taco salads, & others piled high their nachos. The toppings we had were mixed bag of lettuce, chips, tomatoes, olives, lettuce, jalapenos, sour cream, ranch dressing, and cheese.

It was a successful celebration and everyone can’t wait until next Cinco De Mayo.
