That's a good question. You could certainly give it a try and see how it does. For best performance, the pizza stone should be around 500-600 degrees F. This may be a challenge for charcoal to heat the stone that high, though it may be possible. Another important aspect of cooking pizza is temperature control to keep it around those temperatures. This is why a stove is ideal to use. But certainly give it a try, see how it goes and let us know!
