Chocolate Cherry Cobbler!
I am on a quest to try different desserts in my dutch oven! I am proud to say that this one was a success!
Here’s what you need!
- Chocolate Cake Mix
- Two cans cherry pie filling
- Canola Oil
Open up the cans of cherry filling and put them in the bottom of the dutch oven! I used a liner on this one, mostly because sometimes the first trial of anything can be a little sketchy.
The next step is make the cake mix just like the box says, and pour it over the cherries.
And the last step…. Cook it!
I love cooking in the dutch oven on my grill! I will be the first to admit I do not miss the coals… I never cleaned them up well, and I must say my cooking skills have drastically improved with constant heat!
Turn the heat on LOW, put the dome over the oven so the heat stays constant.
In no time at all dessert is served.
The cherry bubbled up into the chocolate cake, and kept it nice and moist.
