When you run out of ducks (season closes) then what….? Well, there is always the hard top. Ice fishing is almost as insane as waiting for ducks in like temperatures. But unlike most late season duck hunting, with fish, you can get inside one of the new ice tents and with a heater be shielded from the elements. Fish don’t seem to mind the beacon of fabric sitting above them.
So with the big game coming up, I wanted to showcase a few good recipes for you to dig into in a few weeks. I have debated for a week on whether or not to share this recipe. I am sharing it for 2 reasons. Number 1, to show that even with the best intentions and ingredients, not all recipes turn out for the best. I’m not sure how the temperature is in your neck of the woods….but it was a balmy minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit when I checked the gauge Monday morning.
