Campfire Stories and Food – The World Wide Equalizer

By on March 28, 2011

My fondest warm weather camping memory was last summer. My hubby and I took our then 10 month old granddaughter camping with us. We figure you can’t start them out too young:). We were fishing and camping at Trinidad State Park in Colorado. She was just starting to walk so we packed her play pen just to make sure she didn’t wander to near the lake. We met a couple and their 3 year old daughter from Croatia and shared lots of stories and food. It was a great time cooking over an open campfire and seeing how even people from the other side of the world can have something in common.
