Brownie Wars: Part II

Here is the 2nd installment of brownie wars. Have you made the first batch, yet? If not, run out and get some unsweetened chocolate. You should have everything else and whip these up! If you don’t want to eat them all, think of someone you owe a thank you too, and take these over!

Here is the original:

Brownies #2


  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 oz. chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts, optional (I never add!)
  • 1/2 t. vanilla


  1. Cream butter and sugar well (if you have creamed well enough the color will lighten).
  2. Add eggs one at a time, stir well.
  3. Add other ingredients.
  4. Put in a greased 8×8 pan. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350. Should look done on top, but may be a bit gooey in the middle.

If you like fudgy, take them out now. If not, leave them in a few more minutes. Cut in squares when cool.
