This was so fun to do and watch the reaction of the kids near by.
Simply roll out your pizza dough on a Camp Chef lightly oiled cutting board.
Place a heat deflector over the burner and put your barbeque box on top. Turn the burner to low and let your barbeque box warm up while you prepare the crust for your pizza. Lightly oil your cast iron grate and turn the dough on to the warm grate. Place the lid on and the dough will turn brown in about 6 to 8 minutes.
Turn the dough over and spread the sauce on the dough as it browns on the opposite side. Have several condiments ready. Cooked hamburger or sausage, olives, mushrooms, green onions, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, chopped red or green peppers, etc. The kids can help with this and make it fun for them.
Add 2 or 3 kinds of cheese and put the lid back on till the cheese melts. Turn the fire off when you replace the lid. Corn meal or parmesan cheese can be sprinkled on the edge of the crust before cooking for a delightful taste.
This was done at a store anniversary sale in Chellas, Washington for SunBird’s. You can see the other pictures by going to their Facebook page. See you at the demos around the country. Keep on cooking with love.
