Home Makeover: Meet the McGraths!

We are your average family (1 dad, 1 mom, 1 son and 1 daughter), living in an older home with one objective since moving in 3 years ago: SAVE THE KITCHEN!
I love to cook and have since I mixed eggshells into a chocolate cake in 3rd grade and served it without telling anyone. Although my career has been peppered with a few more “eggshell” moments (I will keep my rubber ball corned beef story for another time), I have encountered many successes and enjoy culinary exploits, hence the need for an updated kitchen.
Here is our family:
Steve: Early 30’s, handsome. hardworking father and husband. Has recently started his own cooking exploits, though his are in the outdoor realm: smokers, propane and cast iron. We have dubbed him the king of smoking…though the tasty kind, not the bad habit kind.
Chalene: Early 30’s, multi-tasker, whose hobbies include too many things to type. Chasing and trying to raise 2 young kids is busier than I ever thought! I am the resident chef 95% of the time. (and the dishwasher…see above)
Aidan: 4 with the memory of an elephant, which comes in handy unless he is helping you remember less than stellar moments! Cute and has a great imagination. Favorite foods include: mac and cheese, Oreos, “cow-meat”, and candy.
Lauren: 1 going on 16. She LOVES to sing and shocks us with her song repertoire! She smiles when we call her pretty and she loves bracelets and lip balm (although she eats it). Favorite foods include: Mostly anything, especially if it is on the ground and we are running and waving our arms screaming “no!”. We have called Poison Control 3 times and had 1 X-ray for possible lead bullet ingestion.
We’re excited to share our outdoor culinary adventures (Lauren should love it) as we use our Camp Chef outdoor kitchen!!!
