Setup and Curing

Due to the nature of lava rocks, some rocks may need to "cure" before a lifetime of enjoyment. To do this, simply setup the firepit and ignite on high, allowing it to "bake" the rocks for about 10 minutes. During these few minutes, maintain a safe distance while a small portion of the rock may, or may not, crack and gently pop. After 10 minutes, the rock will be cured and setup complete.

  • From Thomas, Peel at 3/12/13 7:11 AM
    • How big will the flame be on my Gas Fire Ring?
    • When you first start your fire pit, the flame will be about 5 to 6 inches tall when set to high. Once the fir pit has warmed up enough to heat the lava rocks your flame should increase in size to about 10 to 12 inches in height. From that point on you can adjust the flame height to your desired height by adjusting the valve.
